A Data- Driven Decision Support System for Monitoring and Predicting Forage Production in California Rangeland

To maintain a sustainable ranching industry in an era of climatic extremes, new, cost-effective forage monitoring and forecasting tools are needed. This project will develop a system that routinely estimates forage using freely available remote sensing data, at the spatial and temporal resolution required by ranchers, and to facilitate adoption of the system by end users as a managerial support tool.
