Vaccination of Cattle in Late-Term Pregnancy for Epizootic Bovine Abortion (EBA: Foothill Abortion): Is it Safe and Will it Confer Long-Term Immunity to the Resulting Offspring?

Foothill abortion is a costly disease for California cattle ranchers – fortunately, a new vaccine has been developed. This project assesses the safety of this vaccine for fetuses when the mother is vaccinated late in her gestation. The project also examines the potential that immunity is conferred to calves resulting from late term vaccinations.
