Michael is a senior at Humboldt State University with a major in Rangeland Resource Science. He initially became interested in habitat restoration on rangelands as a method to help combat climate change.  “This interest became a lifelong journey that led me to return to school to study rangeland ecology and to better understand how to tend these systems to combat this global threat.”    Michael looks forward to a career in rangeland management where he can use his education to help mitigate climate change.

“The Rustici Scholarship has allowed me to focus fully on my studies. It has also introduced me to a community of agricultural minded people through the California Farm Bureau. Thank you for this opportunity!”
