Tessa has been involved with ranching and livestock production from a very young age.  She grew up as a part of a strong agricultural community in Orland, CA. Her family runs a beef cattle ranch and she has personally raised various types of livestock during her time in 4H and FFA.  She has ridden horses her whole life, enjoyed participating in rodeo during high school, and has always been interested in veterinary medicine. Tessa looks forward to a career as a large animal veterinarian focusing on animal nutrition and range management.

“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue my education with the help of the Rustici Scholarship committee and the California Farm Bureau. I hope that with my education I can learn how to be a great steward of the land and serve the agriculture community that has raised me proud. I am even more grateful that during these difficult times I can continue to go to college. This would not be possible without the generosity of the Rustici Family.”
