Can Conservation Practices Improve Soil Health in California?

Maybe California rangeland soils are already healthy

Dr. Toby O'Geen presented findings from several experiments investigating rangeland soil conservation practices, including compost application, perennial grass restoration, and range seeding. These practices are promoted as nature based climate solutions to enhance soil health and store carbon, but do they work? It may be that California's soils are already healthy; limiting the places that may generate soil health and carbon storage gains from these adopted practices.
